Completed summer of 2013, the 2550 sq ft splash pad is a first for the Claremore community and is already a well visited park feature for local families and youths looking to enjoy the outdoors during hot Oklahoma summers. This splash pad has a naturalistic theme blending the facility into the mature park landscape. Site sourced flagstone boulders provide seating around the perimeter, earth toned integral color concrete, and stone veneer seat wall in the center of the splash pad are all features further emphasizing the theme. The splash pad was designed so that features could be expanded as funds become available. The use of SafeSwap in ground features will allow the City of Claremore to replace the spray heads with colorful above ground features that provide greater play value. A large, central shade umbrella gives shaded seating for resting and an optimal observation point in the middle of the action. A new shelter and additional amenities are currently being designed for the next phase of Will Rogers Park.
