Tulsa River Parks West Bank Trail
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Funded by the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the City of Tulsa the $15 million River Parks Dual Trail Enhancement project consists of 12 miles of improvements to both the east and west bank from 11th Street to 71st Street. On both sides of the river, where conditions allow, a dual trail will provide a trail for the cyclist and a separate trail for pedestrians and runners. The trail from Turkey Mountain Wilderness Area to the pedestrian bridge will be widened to allow for more varied trail users with less conflict.  New trail lighting with park furnishing such as benches, chairs, cafe style eating tables, drinking fountains and litter receptacles will be incorporated into the overall trail design. Construction is currently underway.
