41st Street Plaza and Playground
Tulsa, Oklahoma

The new, $2.8 million, 3 acre plaza and playground has an arbored entry to a brick paved open space that features a craftsman styled shelter and restrooms.  The plaza fountain is accented with special lighting and can be turned off so the area can be used for additional seating for concerts. The playground  provides separate innovative play equipment  for toddlers and another for older children.  It has a thick rubber safety surface and can  accommodate 118 children.  Pyramidal berms installed around the playground provide a boundary between the children and trail users while interrupting views of the parking lot and street traffic, they also provide additional play for children and casual seating for adults.  Interactive fountains made of independent, computer-controlled, dancing water jets include  cascading steps, a lazy river, a bubbler table for toddlers, arching water jets and a geyser fountain for older children.

River Parks has worked closely with QuikTrip to make the project a reality for Tulsa.
